Life is Strange: Reunion Artist Revealed Game’s Cut Content

Released last month, Life is Strange: Reunion was the final chapter in the history of Max Caulfield and Chloe Price that started more than a decade ago in the original Life is Strange title. The game received mostly positive reviews from both players and critics, and more than 2 weeks since its launch, we have our first look at the game’s cut and unused content.

It was shared by Jan-Wah Li, concept artist and UI artist, who worked on multiple Life is Strange installments, including Life is Strange 2, Life is Strange: True Colors, Life is Strange: Double Exposure, and Life is Strange: Reunion, as well. On his website, he shared some concept art of Reunion, which seemingly was cut from the game’s final version, as you can check below:

As you can see in the pictures, most of the cut and unused content is related to Chloe. We can see a huge variety of looks for Chloe that, according to the game’s fans, look so much better than the one we see in the final version. Some art also confirms Chloe has a tattoo on her neck, which we can’t see in Life is Strange: Reunion. As we remember, in Life is Strange: Double Exposure, Max could change her clothes in her house, but it seems like Deck Nine decided to cut this feature in Reunion and didn’t include any other suits for both her and Chloe. What is also curious is that we see an “Unused Environment Concept” that gives us a look at a gaming zone, perhaps, in Caledon University. It could have been another location where Max or Chloe, or both, were trying to find out more about the upcoming fire, but for some reason Deck Nine decided not to use it in the final game.

The future of Life is Strange franchise is still unknown; as we know, Reunion was the final entry for Max and Chloe, but there are still a lot of stories Deck Nine and Square Enix can tell and a lot of characters who deserve to be on screens. Despite the latest rumor that Life is Strange: Reunion could be the last game in the whole series, developers haven’t said a word about it.
