GTA 6 Release Date for PC Reportedly Revealed

As we know, Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game is still not confirmed for PC, but according to the latest rumor, PC gamers will not need to wait too long for GTA 6’s launch on their preferred platforms.

As revealed by gaming insider DetectiveSeeds, the PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI is reportedly releasing in February 2027, which is three months after its initial launch on consoles. According to the scooper, he received this information from former developers of Rockstar Games, as you can check out below:

“According to 3 former Rockstar employees (that I contacted through Linkedin) Grand Theft Auto 6 is aiming to release the PC version in February 2027. All stated this timeline could shift, but Take- Two and Rockstar wanted to get the game out before end of fiscal year. I reached out to over 90 people, 3 answered me.”

This report is definitely exciting for all PC users, but there are some misunderstandings. If we take a look at how Rockstar Games released PC versions of previous GTA installments, we may see that the gap between releases is usually more than 3 months. For instance, Grand Theft Auto IV was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox Series 360 on April 29, 2008, while the PC version arrived on December 2 of the same year, which is almost 7 months later. It took even longer with the fifth installment, when it was released on September 17, 2013, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, while PC gamers were able to play the game only in April 2015, as they waited more than 1.5 years. Because of this, the release of GTA 6 on PC in February 2027 seems unlikely.

Moreover, according to another latest report, Rockstar Games is planning to launch online mode for GTA 6 in a month since its release—on December 19. Developers will probably want to pay more attention to multiplayer mode in further months; that’s why releasing the game on PC shortly after launching online mod might be illogical.

Nevertheless, we definitely know that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI will surely come on, as it was leaked on the Loaded digital store back in February. Also, gaming insider Tom Henderson previously revealed Rockstar Games is planning to release a PC version in autumn 2027—and that report seems more believable.
