Strauss Zelnick Reveals He Will Not Play Grand Theft Auto VI
Millions of players around the world are waiting to play Grand Theft Auto VI when the game finally releases on November 19 this year. But there is at least one person who will not play the game—and it’s the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, Strauss Zelnick.
As revealed by the X social media account GTA 6 Countdown, in the recent interview, Zelnick confirms he will not play GTA 6, as he does not consider himself a gamer. You can check out his worlds below:
“I don’t play video games. I think being the consumer-in-chief in an entertainment business as the CEO is probably a mistake. My role is to attract, retain and motivate the best talent in the business and then get out of their way.”
Despite his unexpected position, in a previous interview he assured that GTA 6 will be “the game for everyone,” and considering that the game’s budget is reportedly rumored to be around $2-3 billion, we might expect a lot of activities to be there. The marketing campaign for GTA 6 starts this summer, so we don’t need to wait too long to see a new trailer and the gameplay for the most anticipated video game of 2026.
