New Mortal Kombat or Injustice Video Game Is Seemingly Confirmed
It seems like NetherRealm Studios is actively working on their new unannounced fighting game. A recent report confirms the studio is looking for new employees, which indicates some long-awaited title might be in development for a while.
Specifically, on his LinkedIn account, George Hufnagl, Senior Sound Designer (Dialogue) at NetherRealm Studios, announced that the studio is hiring testers for its new project. What’s interesting is that this project is likely to be at an advanced stage of development, as the job listing requires bug reporting. Finding testers is also indirect evidence that the game is almost complete and the announcement could happen soon.

The latest game from NetherRealm Studios was Mortal Kombat 1, released in 2023. The game received mixed reviews from both players and critics, and given the order in which the studio releases its projects, it stands to reason that their next game will be Injustice 3. It’s been almost 10 years since Injustice 2 was released, and there have been rumors around a third installment. Hopefully we don’t have to wait too much to figure it out.
