Another Online Record Broken by Crimson Desert and Game Receiving Positive Feedback from Players

Although gaming media resources revealed fairly high ratings for Crimson Desert, the majority of gamers had plenty of complaints about Pearl Abyss's new game when it was released on March 19. However, the situation is looking to be different now, on a better side.

Recently, Pearl Abyss released a new update for Crimson Desert - Patch Notes Version 1.01.00, and as we can see, it really landed well. For instance, the user’s score on Metacritic is now 8.7, while it was around 7.5–7.7 last week. But more interesting is the situation on Steam. Crimson Desert has broken yet another record for all-time peak—276,261. Moreover, the game is now having 81% positive reviews on Steam, and on the game’s page you can see that reviews are not Very Positive.

It’s good that Crimson Desert is going well, especially considering early reviews from gamers about its story and gameplay. As we know, the game’s plot received massive changes during the development, and recently some players accused developers of defamation during their marketing campaign of Crimson Desert regarding the mount system. Anyway, despite reviews getting more and more positive, Crimson Desert has only a 5% chance of winning the Game of the Year award, according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.
