CD Projekt RED Hired Former Kingdom Come Developer to Work on The Witcher 4
CD Projekt RED seems to be serious about the development of the new Witcher video game—the fourth installment that will feature Ciri as the protagonist. The game also uses Unreal Engine 5 over CD Projekt’s REDengine, but, despite the concerns of some players, it should be well optimized after recent reports.
The studio is also trying to hire more specialists to work on The Witcher 4. Last week it was revealed that Lucie Hennet, who previously worked as a cinematic animator for last year’s multiple Game of the Year winner, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has joined CD Projekt RED to work on The Witcher 4. And now, it’s been revealed via LinkedIn that the company has hired another specialist. Alice Severova will now serve as the producer of The Witcher 4. Previously, she worked at the same position on such titles as Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Dune: Awakening. She’s also released a statement about her move that you can check below:
“I decided that today is a good day to finally share some great news. I have joined CD PROJEKT RED as a Producer on The Witcher 4! This is a project very close to my heart, and I am truly grateful for the trust and the opportunity to be part of it.”

Speaking of The Witcher 4, CD Projekt RED recently revealed more gameplay details of the game during the AnsweRED podcast and also announced the game will be at this year’s Unreal Fest 2026, which will take place in Chicago this June.
