New Resident Evil Revelations Video Game Teased by Capcom
Capcom is planning to expand the Resident Evil universe with more and more titles, as Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth installment, is releasing this month, as well as Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil Code: Veronica remakes, are reportedly in development and will be announced soon.
And that doesn't seem to be the end, as during the interview with 4Gamer, Requiem’s director Koshi Nakanashi revealed he would like to work on another Resident Evil Revelations project, as he wants to see plenty of Resident Evil characters getting more time on screens.
“I’ve thought about what the people in the Resident Evil universe were doing to some extent. I think it would be interesting if the opportunity arose.”
The latest Resident Evil Revelations video game, Resident Evil Revelations 2, was released back in 2015; Claire Redfield was the main character, and the story took place between Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6. The original Revelation title, released in 2012, featured Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as protagonists and was set after Resident Evil 4.
A new Resident Evil Revelations video game set between Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil Village, for instance, would be a great pick to bring back Chris Redfield as the main character, as he is not coming back in Requiem, and tell more about how he’s related to the Winters family, as it still feels kind of separate and doesn’t fit well in the franchise lore. The game can also set up Resident Evil Requiem.
