Fallout: London Lead Thinks Bethesda Needs to Sell Game’s Rights to Other Developer
Chris Avellone, who worked on Fallout: New Vegas, has recently blamed Bethesda in terms of how they deal with the gaming franchise. Some similar thoughts have Fallout: London lead, Dean Carter.
In the interview with Esports, Carter has shared an idea that Bethesda needs to sell the rights for Fallout and The Elder Scrolls franchises, as he is unsure “if it’s in the right hands,” as you can check below:
“With the greatest respect to Bethesda, I feel like they’ve probably gone one game too far,” the mod developer said. “I feel like it’s time to go off into the sunset and look at selling off your IP because people like the franchise, I’m just honestly not sure it’s in the right hands, and it really hurts me to say that because I love Bethesda.
I reckon if they could inject in the quality of some good writers, then the next Elder Scrolls game will be great and the next Fallout game will be great but they need better writers, honestly.
Ultimately, I would never play that game for its story. I think I always got to the point where, and you know spoiler warning, when you get to Sean in the Institute, I was like cool, in my head it is a justifiable response to go, my kid is safe. Let’s go do something else.”
Fallout: London is one of the best and most massive mods for Fallout 4, developed by Team FOLON, where Dean Carter serves as Project Lead. As you can see by its title, the mod is taking place in the post-apocalyptic version of the capital of Great Britain, and it is set in 2237, between the events of Fallout and Fallout 2.
