Creative Director of Cyberpunk 2077 Igor Sarzynski has recently responded to a user’s question on Bluesky social media, where he was asked why the male version of V was left out of all the game’s promotions and crossovers. The reason is simple—male V was used for the base game, while female V was used from the Phantom Liberty DLC, as you can check below:

“Male V had whole base game marketing for himself - for PL we decided to switch it up. One game for each V:)”

As we know, Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel is in development. We still don’t know if it will be possible to choose a male or female character, and for now, the game’s details mostly remain unknown, as well as the release date and platforms.
