Todd Howard Might Have Spoiled Where The Elder Scrolls VI Is Taking Place
It’s fair to say that we know literally nothing about The Elder Scrolls VI, which was announced back in 2018. The game still doesn't have a release date, we haven’t seen the gameplay, and we don’t know where it’s set. But there are always speculations about all of these things.
For instance, recently well-known gaming interviewer Reece “Kiwi Talkz” Reilley revealed The Elder Scrolls VI is likely to release in 2028-2029, and he hinted the development could have some troubles, though Todd Howard earlier assured the fans a lot of the studio’s employees are working hard on the next TES.
But there is some fascinating catch, as Todd Howard might have revealed where The Elder Scrolls VI is taking place. Firstly, we have to start with YouTuber Any Austin, who released a video called “ How Many Trees Are There in Skyrim? ” He revealed there are 46,430 trees in the game, and he decided to ask Todd Howard. Bethesda’s boss said the wrong answer, 111111, but what’s more exciting—he was also asked whether The Elder Scrolls VI will have more trees, and he revealed, “There will be most definitely more trees.”
And that was the moment when Pandora’s box was opened, because the players are now getting confident The Elder Scrolls VI will be set in Valenwood, or at least, the game will feature this location. Valenwood is a province of Tamriel that has a largely uninhabited forest and also includes mangrove swamps and subtropical rain forests. The entire cities are built inside these forests, and that’s what Todd Howard might have revealed about The Elder Scrolls VI.

Recent rumors and speculations suggested The Elder Scrolls VI will mostly take place in Hammerfell, and insider eXtas1s even revealed the game will be called The Elder Scrolls VI: Hammerfell. In the franchise’s lore, Hammerfell is located on the west of Tamriel; it's a massive, diverse region that has jungles, wooded mountain ranges, and huge deserts.
The Elder Scrolls VI will release on PC and Xbox Series X/S and doesn’t have a release date yet.
