The Elder Scrolls VI Possible Release Date Revealed
The Elder Scrolls VI was announced at E3 during Bethesda’s showcase back in 2018. Though a lot of years have passed, we still haven’t seen either the gameplay or the release date or any official details.
Fortunately, recently Bethesda’s boss, Todd Howard, revealed the development of TES VI is going very well, while most of the studio’s employees are working hard on a project. Earlier this month Howard also predicted GTA 6 will release before The Elder Scrolls VI—as we know, the next Rockstar Games title is set to release on November 19, 2026.

At the same time, game developer interviewer Reece “Kiwi Talkz” Reilly has posted some interesting information on XCancel regarding the release of The Elder Scrolls VI. He believes the game will probably release in 2028, but more likely in 2029. He also compares the situation with the release of Metroid Prime 4—as the development for the game started back in 2017, but then it started from the beginning by another studio in 2019. As a result, the release happened only this month. You can check Reece Reilly’s message below:
“You are not seeing Elder Scrolls 6 till 2028 at the earliest but there’s a high probability that it comes out in 2029. They aren’t giving a rough date cause quite frankly it will do more harm than good especially after announcing this game too early, personally at this stage I believe it’s going to suffer Metroid Prime 4’s fate. Will sell well but won’t get critical acclaim and be divisive”
