Long 15 Expands Fallout: New Vegas With A Full-Scale Fan-Made DLC

A new DLC-sized fan expansion has been released for Fallout: New Vegas, adding a large body of free content aimed at players still active in the game nearly fifteen years after launch. Titled Long 15, the project is developed by the Long 15 Team and positions itself as a lore-friendly expansion that fits directly into the existing structure of New Vegas and its official DLC.

The mod introduces a new landmass centered on the Long 15 region, allowing players to explore the area before its destruction in the Lonesome Road storyline. It expands NCR-controlled territories in California and adds multiple main questlines designed to branch based on player decisions. According to the developers, Long 15 includes more than 30 quests and offers roughly 20 hours of gameplay, with choices that influence outcomes and faction relationships.

Long 15 features over 200 fully voiced characters and introduces several minor factions. The expansion includes more than 130 interior locations, all interconnected through multiple access points. Players can explore over 30 new dungeons, ranging from train tunnels and underground bunkers to caves and sewer systems. Environmental design emphasizes scale and navigation, with interiors built to support alternate routes and exploration paths.

The mod also adds a new radio station with more than 30 licensed-style tracks and a fully voiced DJ who responds dynamically to player actions and story progression. Equipment additions include three unique weapons, over 50 new armor and clothing items, and four player homes. Companion integration is fully supported, allowing existing companions to accompany the player throughout the expansion without scripted limitations.

Long 15 is distributed as a free mod and does not replace or alter the base game’s ending structure. Instead, it operates as an optional expansion that deepens NCR-focused storytelling while preserving compatibility with established Fallout: New Vegas content.
