Star Wars: The Fate of The Old Republic Director Gives Update on The Game’s Release Date

The reveal of new Star Wars video game called Star Wars: The Fate of The Old Republic at The Game Awards 2025 made the fans really exciting. Not only because it’s a single-player RPG and spiritual successor of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic but it’s led by RPG specialist Casey Hudson, who previously working on a Mass Effect trilogy.

The gamers are now wondering when the game will be released, and previous report suggesting it won’t happen until 2030 as the game is already at early stage of development. However, the director itself, Casey Hudson, just gave the fans some positive news. On social media X he revealed The Fate of The Old Republic will be released before 2030.

"Don’t worry about the “not till 2030” rumors. Game will be out before then. I’m not getting any younger!"

Star Wars: The Fate of The Old Republic wasn’t the only Star Wars games announced at The Game Awards 2025. Fuse Games (former Burnout and Need for Speed) developers presented their new project called Star Wars Galactic Rider.
