Black Myth: Wukong Brings 81 Achievements to Xbox Next Week

The acclaimed Chinese action RPG Black Myth: Wukong is finally arriving on Xbox Series X|S on August 20, 2025, and it’s bringing a massive 81 achievements with it — more than double the PlayStation trophy list.

Originally released in August 2024 as a PS5 console exclusive, the Soulslike title by Game Science became a global hit, selling over 25 million units and earning a Game of the Year nomination at The Game Awards 2024 (losing to Astro Bot).

The Xbox launch stirred controversy earlier this year when fans noticed it was scheduled for exactly one year after the PS5 release — fueling speculation of a one-year exclusivity deal with PlayStation.

The PS5 version features 36 trophies, but on Xbox, the list has ballooned to 81 separate achievements. Here’s why:

Since Xbox base games are capped at 1,000 gamerscore at launch, most achievements are worth just 5 gamerscore.

• Final Fulfillment (the Platinum equivalent) → 150 GS

This means Xbox players will unlock achievements faster than PS5 players — but the gamerscore per unlock will be lower.
