LEGO Batman Game in Skywalker Saga Style Reportedly Coming in 2026

A new LEGO Batman game is reportedly in the works, aiming for a 2026 release, and it could follow the same ambitious design as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Multiple insiders claim TT Games will let players explore several Batman films within one massive Gotham City, choosing different eras to play through in any order. The title is said to be revealed during Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live, just a week away, though it’s not yet officially confirmed.

According to the long-running insider account LEGO Game News, this next project from TT Games is not tied to the older LEGO Batman trilogy but will instead be a completely fresh take. The approach mirrors The Skywalker Saga’s format, where players could start in any trilogy and progress freely, while also having access to a wide array of characters and locations. In this case, the game would feature one persistent Gotham City, with eras changing to match the selected Batman storyline.

The exact list of films included remains unclear. Current whispers suggest Batman v Superman will not make the cut, likely because Ben Affleck’s Batman never had a solo movie. There’s also uncertainty about Robert Pattinson’s Batman—adding a film as recent as The Batman would be unusual for a project likely in development before the movie’s release. Still, the format opens the door for a mix of classic and modern Batman interpretations, from early cinematic adaptations to more recent versions.

The rumored setting sounds like a natural fit for TT Games’ expertise. In The Skywalker Saga, players could explore 23 planets from across nine Star Wars films, choosing the sequence of their adventure. Applying that to Batman means Gotham could evolve with each selected era—locations could shift in tone and architecture, villains might change, and playable characters could reflect the different timelines.

This project also comes after a series of cancelled LEGO games within TT Games. Reports claim that a LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy title was in development but scrapped, along with a LEGO Disney game. A proposed LEGO Harry Potter game in the same “Skywalker Saga” style was apparently pitched but never advanced beyond early concept discussions. If accurate, this would make Batman the studio’s next big focus, leveraging an IP that Warner Bros. can easily license and market.

The business logic is also clear. After the success of Hogwarts Legacy, Warner Bros. appears to be prioritizing a sequel for its next Harry Potter release rather than a LEGO version. Meanwhile, with WB already holding the rights to DC characters, a Batman-focused game avoids the licensing complications and high costs of Marvel-based projects. It’s a franchise with decades of material to draw from, guaranteeing content depth for the expansive format TT Games has developed.

LEGO Batman Game in Skywalker Saga Style Reportedly Coming in 2026 1

Since launching LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga in 2022, TT Games has kept a low profile, aside from contributing to smaller projects like LEGO Horizon Adventures and preparing the upcoming LEGO Party—a 4-player party game slated for release later this year. The gap between major releases has fueled speculation about what’s next, and this leak provides the most detailed vision yet of the studio’s future plans.

The timing of the leak is also noteworthy. Gamescom’s Opening Night Live has become a major stage for blockbuster announcements, and revealing a game of this scale there would draw significant attention. With The Skywalker Saga praised for its scale and attention to detail, adapting that model to Batman’s world has strong potential to win over both LEGO fans and superhero gamers.

If the claims prove true, expect the game to blend TT Games’ signature humor and accessibility with Gotham’s iconic characters, vehicles, and locations. The freedom to jump between different Batman eras could mean everything from Adam West’s lighthearted portrayal to Christopher Nolan’s gritty realism might coexist in one sprawling game.

For now, this remains unconfirmed information. Leaks in the gaming industry can range from spot-on to entirely speculative, and TT Games has not commented publicly on the matter. Still, with Gamescom 2025 just around the corner, confirmation—one way or the other—may be coming soon. Until then, fans of LEGO’s superhero adaptations have reason to keep a close eye on the show.

If TT Games delivers on the rumored concept, LEGO Batman in Skywalker Saga style could be one of the most ambitious superhero LEGO games to date, merging multiple cinematic interpretations into one interactive Gotham City for release in spring 2026.
