Ubisoft to Reveal Star Wars Outlaws DLC “A Pirate’s Fortune” on April 18

Ubisoft has officially announced the second story expansion for Star Wars Outlaws, titled A Pirate’s Fortune. The new DLC will be unveiled on April 18 during the Star Wars Celebration event in Japan. The announcement was made via the game’s social media channels, accompanied by a teaser image that has already sparked fan excitement.

The teaser features the infamous space pirate Hondo Ohnaka, well known to fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. His appearance has led to much speculation about the role he’ll play in the upcoming storyline.

According to Ubisoft’s previously released content roadmap, A Pirate’s Fortune is scheduled for release in spring 2025. The story continues the journey of Kay Vess, the game’s main protagonist, who joins forces with Hondo to help him settle an old score with a rival pirate crew. Players can expect a narrative filled with betrayal, intrigue, and classic space shootouts.

The first expansion, Wild Card, introduced players to a high-stakes sabacc tournament and a daring casino heist, during which Kay met Lando Calrissian, who became a key ally. That DLC added a layer of underworld drama and gambling tension to the Outlaws universe.

Despite a mixed reception at launch in August 2024, Ubisoft has remained committed to improving the game. Since its release, Star Wars Outlaws has received five major patches based on community feedback. Updates have included improved enemy AI, enhanced facial animations during dialogue, and technical optimizations.

The most recent update (v1.5.1), released in February, added DLSS 4 support for PC players and PSSR optimization for PlayStation 5 Pro users, enhancing visual performance across all platforms.

Star Wars Outlaws is available on PC (via Epic Games Store, Steam, and Ubisoft Connect), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and is also included in the Ubisoft+ subscription service.
