Grimes Defends Elon Musk’s Gaming Achievements Amid Cheating Allegations
Elon Musk is once again at the center of gaming-related controversy, facing accusations of cheating in competitive video games. However, an unexpected defender has entered the conversation – Grimes, his ex-girlfriend and mother to some of his children. The musician publicly vouched for Musk’s gaming prowess, sharing details about his accomplishments that she claims to have witnessed firsthand.
In a social media post, Grimes stated, “Just for my personal pride, I would like to state that the father of my children was the first American druid in Diablo to clear Abattoir of Zir and ended that season as best in the USA. He was also ranking in Polytopia and beat Felix himself at the game. I did observe these things with my own eyes. There are other witnesses who can verify this. That is all.”
Musk, who has previously claimed to be among the top 20 Diablo 4 players worldwide, responded simply with, “Thanks.” While the Diablo achievement Grimes highlighted is notable, it’s not on par with his earlier assertions about global rankings in the game. Nevertheless, her defense bolsters claims about his dedication to gaming – at least in the past.
However, Grimes acknowledged the recent skepticism surrounding Musk’s achievements in Path of Exile 2. In response to a fan questioning his claimed world-ranked character, she admitted, “There are reasonable suspicions that he had help with Path of Exile 2. There’s no shame in that because it’s insanely hard and he’s very busy, but he should be honest.”
While Musk remains tight-lipped about the specifics of his gaming methods, this latest twist adds another layer to the ongoing debate over his gaming credibility.
