Unleash the Storm: Diablo Immortal Introduces the Tempest Class with Elemental Fury – Available May 23!
Diablo Immortal has recently unveiled a trailer introducing the Tempest class, which will be available to players starting May 23. As in previous Diablo series games, Diablo Immortal requires players to select a class for their character, who must then navigate the treacherous world of Sanctuary. Each class in Diablo Immortal offers a distinct gameplay experience, tailored around various weapons and skills.
The game features seven classes: Blood Knight, Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard. For those who favor close-quarters combat, the Barbarian, Crusader, and Monk classes are suitable choices. On the other hand, the Demon Hunter and Wizard cater to players who prefer long-range engagements. The Necromancer class, consistent with other entries in the series, focuses on summoning creatures. The arrival of the Tempest class expands the roster, continuing to enrich the game's appeal, particularly to long-time fans.
The announcement of the Tempest class was made through a dramatic trailer that shows a blazing ship with people trapped inside, under threat from demons. Just then, the Tempests make a timely entrance, defeating the demons and rescuing the victims. This class, the first addition since the Blood Knight, brings a nostalgic element from the first Diablo game, rekindling old memories for the series' enthusiasts.
The new Tempest class is characterized as a warrior who wields dual blades and controls the elemental forces of water and wind to combat the foes of Diablo Immortal. A snippet from the trailer showcases the Tempest employing water-based abilities to maneuver and launch potent attacks. Blizzard's official blog describes the Tempest as a "mysterious wanderer from the frigid North," and promises more insights into the class’s capabilities, along with a narrative piece by Ryan Quinn, a senior narrative designer.
Diablo Immortal will include the Tempest class as part of a free update, which also introduces a new quest tailored to this class. Players will have the opportunity to explore the Tempest’s abilities through the game's class change feature, allowing them to transform an existing character. Furthermore, Blizzard has teased future developments in Diablo Immortal with "The Year of Unmaking" roadmap, promising exciting content including a showdown with Diablo himself.
