Squashing Bugs and Soaring High: Spider-Man 2's Latest Update for PS5 Players
Insomniac Games has rolled out a fresh update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, available for PS5 players to download right now. As is customary with Insomniac Games, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 initially launched in a highly polished state. However, while Spider-Man 2 may not have been plagued by many glitches upon release, it doesn't mean the open-world superhero game was absolutely flawless when it hit the market last month.
The Spider-Man 2 community unearthed various bugs, but Insomniac was swift in addressing fan feedback and rectifying lingering issues. One peculiar Spider-Man 2 bug transformed characters into white cubes, which, while harmless, disrupted immersion. In response, Insomniac released an update that resolved this particular problem.
The most recent update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 aims to eliminate more bugs afflicting the game. It addresses multiple issues where players or important characters could get "stuck" in various scenarios, such as the conclusion of The Sandman side quests or during the Galvanize tutorial. The update also tackles issues like the Charge Jump malfunctioning when assigned to a shortcut, suit errors, character models failing to load properly, and more.
Spider-Man 2 players can anticipate additional updates for the open-world superhero game in the coming weeks and months. In addition to bug fixes, Insomniac has promised a significant Spider-Man 2 update introducing New Game+ and mission replay features, enhancing the game's replayability. The exact release date for this update remains uncertain but is sure to bring added depth to the game.
While some fans may be more interested in updates like this, others might be more focused on paid DLC. At the time of writing, Insomniac has not announced any DLC for Spider-Man 2, but there are various directions the game's DLC could take. The original Spider-Man game featured multiple DLC packs, and although many of the villains introduced in Spider-Man 2 will likely be addressed in a full-fledged sequel, it's possible that they could appear in DLC content.
This is purely speculative for now. Spider-Man 2 may indeed receive DLC similar to its predecessor, but there's also the possibility that Insomniac might prioritize its Wolverine game and the inevitable Spider-Man 3. In the meantime, fans can download the latest game update.
