In Assassin's Creed Mirage, New Game Plus and immortality modes will be introduced
Ubisoft has announced an upcoming free update for Assassin's Creed Mirage, set to introduce the New Game + (NG+) mode and a new feature for seasoned players – a player-choice death mode across all difficulty levels. This update is expected to roll out in December this year.
Assassin's Creed Mirage, released on October 5th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, has garnered immense popularity. Within its initial week, Ubisoft highlighted it as their most successful launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in terms of sales volume. The company's statement acknowledges the positive response from gamers, comparing it to the successful launches of previous series installments such as Assassin's Creed Origins and Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
The development of Mirage was led by Ubisoft Bordeaux, renowned for the Wrath of the Druids expansion in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The new game is positioned as a vibrant return to the roots of Assassin's Creed, emphasizing parkour, stealth, and assassinations. It reflects the traditional action-adventure style that was characteristic of the series before the introduction of RPG elements seen in games like Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.
Additionally, plans have been unveiled for the release of a version of the game for the iPhone 15 Pro by early 2024, expanding Mirage's accessibility to a wider audience of gamers.
