Seamless Cloud Gaming Inside Discord

The new integration is powered by NVIDIA’s Graphics Delivery Network (GDN), capable of streaming games at up to 1440p resolution and 60 FPS. With this technology, Discord users will be able to launch and play games right inside the app window, even if the titles aren’t installed on their computers.

“Our partnership with NVIDIA is set to transform how players discover and experience games. Now you can instantly dive in with friends without wasting time on downloads or updates,” said Stanislav Vyshnevsky, Discord’s co-founder and Chief Technology Officer.

Why It Matters: Insights Into Player Behavior

Discord shared some revealing statistics about its community in 2025:

  • 72% of users play with friends weekly.
  • 50% stream their gaming sessions.
  • 40% jump into the same game within an hour of watching a friend’s stream.

Notably, play sessions with friends or groups last seven times longer on average compared to solo play. This highlights the strong social dynamic driving gaming engagement—something the new integration aims to amplify.
