Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Unleashes Nostalgia with a Hidden GTA Easter Egg – Big Smoke's Fast-Food Order Resurfaces in Dogtown!
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty unveils a hidden gem for fans as a sly nod to Big Smoke's iconic fast-food order from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. This newly discovered Easter egg adds to the growing list of hidden surprises within Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.
Upon reaching the DLC's new location, Dogtown, players encounter Solomon Reed, portrayed by Idris Elba, a seasoned FIA agent. As part of the Lucretia My Reflection quest in Phantom Liberty, V connects with Reed using an ancient landline found in a run-down restaurant. The ensuing cutscene, lasting only a few seconds, introduces a lighthearted moment in contrast to the overall serious tone of the Phantom Liberty narrative. Keanu Reeves's Johnny Silverhand uses exaggerated gestures to explain the workings of a traditional telephone to a perplexed V.
However, the humor doesn't end there. Reddit user Hykr recently made a delightful revelation – the phone itself features a clever throwback to San Andreas. The entirety of Big Smoke's infamous fast food order is inscribed on the phone, recalling the memorable line that became a GTA: San Andreas classic and meme sensation.
"I’ll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda."
This Easter egg discovery emphasizes the meticulous attention to detail by CD Projekt Red in crafting the studio's first and only expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. Dogtown is already brimming with references to various works, including nods to CDPR's own projects like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Remarkably, the Big Smoke Easter egg isn't the only secret tied to the yellow telephone in the Lucretia My Reflection quest. Dialing 911 prompts a unique interaction with Johnny, while entering 6175556277 triggers a playback of "Never Fade Away," one of his Samurai band's most recognizable songs. Players can also enjoy a rendition of the main theme from The Witcher by dialing 5745552377.
