The storyline of Diablo 4 unfolds 50 years after the events of the Reaper of Souls expansion in Diablo 3. As revealed by associated writer Eden Trujillo, the angel Inarius and the demon Lilith, the creators of Sanctuary, clash in a conflict that transforms humanity into a battleground.
