CD Projekt Announces New Witcher Trilogy, Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel And New IP
Today, the Polish studio CD Projekt RED, known for the Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077, held an impromptu presentation. At the CDPR show, they talked about their main creations, denoting a vector for the future, which will definitely please fans of the games of Polish game developers.
CDRP already has three projects in the Witcher universe in development. CD Projekt RED will create a new trilogy set in a non-Geralt universe, a game codenamed Sirius by Molasses Flood, and an open world project Canis Majoris. All this will not see the light soon - after the release of the first game from the trilogy, the sequel and triquel will appear for 6 years, and the timing of the release of Sirus and Canis Majoris was not mentioned at all.
Most of the studio's new games will have multiplayer, and this applies not only to witcher titles - Cyberpunk 2077 did not go unnoticed.
For another flagship, CDRP has prepared a little less announcements. The Phantom Liberty expansion will see the light of day first, followed by a sequel to the original IP, codenamed Orion for now.
Finally, CD Projekt RED have announced a brand new IP. The next author's game from the Poles was codenamed Hadar and will not be connected in any way with the Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 franchises.
In addition to game announcements, there were several personnel announcements. Marcin Ivinsky left the post of CEO, and in addition to third-party studios, the American division of CDPR, which appeared after the opening of an office in America, will be involved in the development of new titles.
