Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a Phantom Liberty story expansion
Now the CD Project RED studio on its Twitch channel is holding an online event called Night City Wire. In it, the developers talk about what awaits the Cyberpunk universe in the future, discussing the new patch 1.6, the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series, and much more.
The main announcement of the evening was the showing of the story DLC called Phantom Liberty. Despite the fact that the developers promised the addition more than a year ago, there was no exact date, as well as details.
DLC events will unfold in a completely new area of Night City, and until the end of the main plot of the game, the main character will be directly involved in the affairs of the US authorities. The next good news is that the developers have confirmed the return of Keanu Reeves, and with him Johnny Silverhand, to the plot of the add-on.
The DLC release is scheduled for 2023, but given how many times Cyberpunk itself has been postponed, it's possible that we'll have to wait a little longer.
