This time, Activision Blizzard decided to abandon the payment system. The company has switched the game to a shareware model and will sell in-game content for money. Although the developers say that the content will be equally available to everyone, nevertheless, the first details about the requirements for obtaining new heroes have already appeared on the network.

Game journalists who tested Overwatch 2 shared the results of success regarding the opening of a new character. According to them, it took about 40 hours to open a new hero, and this is considering that they had a 20% bonus to experience gain.

The main innovation in Overwatch will be the appearance of a PvE mode in which players will team up and fight against opponents controlled by artificial intelligence. At the start, this mode will not be available. It will appear next year.
