New GoW Ragnarok Trailer, Tekken 8 Announcement, and Hogwarts Legacy Video Highlights from State of Play
On the night of September 13-14, Sony held an interesting State of Play event, in which they announced the 8th part of one of the iconic Tekken fighting games, and also showed some interesting trailers and more.
God of War Ragnarok
Game studio Santa Monica Studio, which is developing the latest part of the series about the god of war Kratos, has shown a new story trailer for God of War Ragnarok.
The game will be released on November 9 this year on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
Along with this, limited edition DualSense versions in the style of God of War Ragnarok should also appear in stores. The design is made in an interesting style and depicts a wolf and a bear.
Hogwarts Legacy
Avalanche Software, who are developing a game based on the Harry Potter universe, pleased gamers with a new video that showed some of the locations available in the game and story characters.
According to the developers, the game should allow fans of the universe to fully immerse themselves in the world of the magical school in which Harry Potter studied, and users will be able to fully customize their character and even choose the voice that they like best.
It is noteworthy that players will be able to choose a specific house: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff.
The release of the title is scheduled for February 10, 2023.
Rise of the Ronin
Team Ninja, known for developing the fighting game Dead or Alive, the souls-like game Nioh and the slasher game Ninja Gaiden, have announced a new game, Rise of Ronin. The game will take place in feudal Japan at the end of the 19th century.
Players will face various enemies, which they will deal with through a combat system that involves the use of both melee weapons and firearms.
In addition, users are waiting for an open world, and the plot will be non-linear and will provide for various forks depending on the actions of the players.
The title is scheduled for release in 2024 on the PlayStation 5.
Tekken 8
The exhibition also featured the announcement of the Japanese fighting game Tekken 8, which, like Mortal Kombat, will receive the status of one of the cult representatives of its genre.
The trailer, in the center of which were Jin Kazama and Mishima, showed not only the plot, but also the gameplay component. From the video, it became clear that the developers of the fighting game once again brought the title to a new graphical level and saturated the game with various effects.
At the moment, it is not known when Bandai Namco will distribute the game, but now we know that the game will bypass past generation consoles and will only be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Like a Dragon: Ishin!
Ryu Ga Gotoku presented a remake of Yakuza: Ishin! at the State of Play, which was released in 2014 exclusively on Sony consoles. Players will once again be able to plunge into the adventure with Kazuma Kiryu, but with improved graphics and various innovations.
