Hunger Games director to direct Bioshock adaptation
Deadline reports that Netflix has hired director Francis Lawrence to work on a film adaptation of Bioshock. We recently wrote about new details for the Horizon: Zero Dawn series.
Francis Lawrence is known for his work on the three parts of The Hunger Games, as well as films such as Constantine: The Dark Lord and I Am Legend. The director is currently finishing work on The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Snakes and Songbirds, after which he is expected to take on work on Bioshock.
The story will be adapted by Michael Green. Of the achievements of the screenwriter, it is worth noting the work on the script in such films as Murder on the Orient Express, Blade Runner 2049 and Logan.
It will be produced by Vertigo Entertainment led by Roy Lee and executive produced by Cameron MacConomy.
