EA has reported on its financial condition
EA CEO Andrew Wilson recently spoke to investors and told investors that the gaming company is in a great and independent position. At the same time, he noted that, despite the complete consolidation, the organization is not opposed to considering some interesting proposals from various companies.
Wilson commented on rumors in May that EA was in merger talks with several major companies that were poised to acquire the game studio. NBC Universal, Disney, Apple and even Amazon were ready to enter the deal. Despite varying degrees of readiness to enter into a deal, the parties could not come to an understanding and EA, as before, remained an independent company. According to Andrew, EA are in a great financial position and do not need such deals at all.
The words of Andrew Wilson are not just words, but speech backed up by deeds. Many gaming companies have shared poor performance and sales slump for the quarter ended June 30th. EA, in turn, have a good income, which continues to grow.
According to Wilson, EA will soon become the largest independent publisher and developer of video games. He reports continued recruitment of valuable talent, and the army of players who love EA already exceeds 600,000,000 people.
EA (also known as Electronic Arts) is an American company that develops video games and, unlike many similar organizations, independently distributes its products. From under the pen of Electronic Arts came such games as Star Wars, Battlefield, Crysis, Dragon Age, FIFA, Real Racing, Need for Speed, Mass Effect, The Sims, Syndicate, UFC, Mirror's Edge, Medal of Honor and many other games. The organization was founded in 1982 and since 2013, there are even EA shares on the NASDAQ exchange that can be purchased.
