Blizzard Entertainment will not remove Russian-language localization from Diablo Immortal
Blizzard CEO Mike Ybarra hosted an Ask Me Anything session in which he answered questions from fans of the game studio and ordinary users who wanted to find out more about the game. One of the users asked a question regarding the presence of localization in Russian in the light of recent events and the cancellation of the release of the game in Russia. Mike replied that the Russian language would remain in the game. Otherwise, most players from other CIS countries, including Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and others, will suffer.
This question arose from users due to the loss of such a language on the Diablo Immortal product page on the Blizzard website. The video game developer also revealed that the game will not be available in Russia at release. They do not exclude that later, in the event of the withdrawal or easing of sanctions, they will lift the restrictions, but for now, users from this country will not be able to play Diablo Immortal.
Blizzard is developing Diablo Immortal for mobile devices. This is the next part that they want to rethink in a mobile way and thus grab a part of the market of players using Android and iOS. It is important to note that Diablo Immortal is not a port of any of the titles, but an independent project with a unique storyline. He, by the way, will not be in any way connected with the original series.
