WePlay Esports signs exclusive partnership with GRID
Media holding and tournament organizer WePlay Esports have announced an exclusive partnership with the GRID media platform, under which WePlay Esports will provide in-game GRID data during its tournaments to support "fair and open play."
The agreement will include core GRID data services and monitoring of their integrity. This will concern the main disciplines of the tournament operator, CS: GO and Dota 2. In turn, the partnership identifies GRID as a technical partner and data provider for WePlay Esports.
In addition, the organizer referred to the fact that it can expand the partnership to other games and future projects.
WePlay Esports and GRID are official members of the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC), an organization created to promote and facilitate competitive integrity in competitive gaming.
As the head of the business development department of the media holding noted, the partnership will allow WePlay Esports to be more transparent during tournaments, through GRID services, which will strengthen its integrity.
This partnership is the result of GRID's collaboration with the Counter-Strike Professional Players Association (CSPPA) last month to raise the global CSPPA rankings.
In 2021, WePlay Esports focused primarily on the development of its FGC division, introducing the Ultimate Weekend Brawl and the Ultimate Fight League.
