WePlay Ultimate Fighting League Strengthens Business Operations With New Agreement
Representatives of the esports media holding WePlay Esports, together with professional boxers Alexander Usik and Vasily Lomechenko, signed an agreement to create a company that will hold tournaments as part of the WePlay Ultimate Fighting League (WUFL).
According to the press release, the new company will also develop products and operate globally, with some projects expected to expand beyond esports. WUFL will use WePlay Esports resources and its partners' assets to achieve these goals.
WePlay Ultimate Fighting League was officially launched in December last year on the last day of the WePlay Dragon Temple Mortal Kombat 11 LAN tournament in Kiev. The first season of the event featured Mortal Kombat 11, SOULCALIBUR VI and Tekken 7 tournaments with a prize pool of $ 50,000 in each discipline.
On the final day of the first WUFL season, the new agreement was announced by WePlay Esports managing partners Yuri Lazebnikov and Oleg Krot, undefeated boxer Alexander Usik and two-time Olympic champion Vasily Lomachenko.
After the announcement of the creation of the company, it became clear that all four persons would have equal shares in the participation.
