Financial Crisis Looms Over Fnatic as Budget Deficit Threatens Closure
Fnatic, a prominent esports organization, is facing a dire financial situation, according to a report from Sheep Esports.
The financial report for the year 2022 revealed a budget deficit of 43 million euros for the club. The annual expenses for running the organization amount to 28 million euros, with a significant portion of 11 million euros allocated to player and staff salaries. Currently, Fnatic has approximately 3.5 million euros in its accounts, which would sustain the club's operations for only two months.
Fnatic's management is actively devising a plan to secure additional funding. Proposed measures include hosting fundraisers, selling off specific assets, delaying new hires, and awaiting financial contributions from existing shareholders.
One of the leading esports organizations faces a challenging trial, and its future hinges on the successful execution of financial recovery plans.
