Jacob Arce becomes XSET Head of Esports
North American esports organization XSET has announced the promotion of Jacob Arce to the position of Head of Esports. Previously, the Puerto Rican worked at the club as an operations manager. In his new role, Arce will be responsible for the organization's competitive vertical, which includes rosters across VALORANT, Rocket League, Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex Legends, iRacing, and fighting games.
I care about being ahead of everyone in the gaming and esports industry. For me, this means making sure that the players don't just exist in the games, but that they are given the opportunity to shape the culture. I have succeeded in making real connections and staying true to my intentions of caring for the people in the gaming world. XSET works the same as I do - they care about their fans and players and are committed to changing the way organizations operate.
Jacob Arce, New Head of Esports at XSET
Arce already has experience in running an esports organization. Prior to joining XSET, he served as co-general manager at Ghost Gaming, where he was responsible for players and coaches. He also had experience as a caster, playing various esports and working with companies such as Epic Games and Alienware.
Jacob has already established himself as an important part of XSET's development during his tenure as Operations Manager. Jacob's genuine love for gaming and ensuring players can thrive is exactly what we believe in at XSET. His authenticity, combined with his knowledge and strong work ethic, makes Jacob the right person to take on the role of Head of Esports as we continue to add new teams and players to our roster in 2023.
Greg Selko, XSET CEO
Note that recently XSET also announced the appointment of David Luce to the position of Chief Content Officer. In his role, Luce will be in charge of setting up a content production studio and managing everything from A to Z.
