Team Vitality is leaving Fortnite
French esports organization Team Vitality has announced its retirement from Fortnite. The club has taken the decision to close its division, which has lasted four years, as it is forced to save money in order to achieve its goals in other disciplines. However, Team Vitality has promised to help its players and staff find new jobs.
We have made the difficult decision to announce that we will be leaving the competitive Fortnite scene at the end of 2022. Since 2018, we have found, trained and developed many talents for the scene, and we will always be grateful and proud of the legacy we have created.
However, our strategy to develop the best European teams has forced us to focus on fewer disciplines. We want to thank all the players, staff as well as the fans for all the hard work and for joining us on this journey.
Going forward, we will support our players and staff so that they have the best opportunity to continue their careers, and we wish them the best of luck in the next chapter.
During the club's stay in the discipline, its players became the winners of C3S3: Quick Trios Cash Cup - Week 1: Europe, Gotaga On Tour: Finals, C2S1: FNCS - Week 4: Europe and C2S1: FNCS - Week 1: Europe, and also got into top three at C3S2: Duos Cash Cup - Week 5: Europe, C2S1: FNCS - Week 3: Europe, C3S3: Solo Cash Cup - Week 1: Europe and C2S6: Trios Cash Cup - Week 1: Europe.
However, in the last year the organization has halved its representation in the discipline, and also fully concentrated on the French players. Despite having results, Team Vitality has decided to move away from the competitive Fortnite scene.
