Sentinels are leaving competitive Fortnite
The North American esports organization Sentinels quite unexpectedly announced their departure from the discipline of Fortnite. The club's management explained its decision by the lack of opportunities to activate sponsorship agreements, as well as the lack of branded gaming content.
As our organization plans for the future, our strategy is to focus on games that provide redemption opportunities for our sponsors or offer branded game content to the team. Fortnite offers neither. Today I'm announcing that we will no longer be competing in Fortnite. Therefore, we will not sign new contracts with Bugha, Aspect or Zyfa. We thank our players, especially Bugha, who brought the Sentinels their first major trophy with their victory at the 2019 World Championship.
The Sentinels organization has been represented in Fortnite since 2018. During the existence of the division, players brought victories to the club at C3S1: FNCS - Grand Finals: North America East, Fortnite Champion Series: 2021 Grand Royale - NA East, C2S8: FNCS - Grand Finals: North America East, DreamHack Open - October 2020: NA West, FNCS: Season X - Week 3: North America East, Fortnite World Cup Finals - Solo and Fortnite Fall Skirmish: Week 3 - North America.
In addition, the Sentinels tag is involved in getting into the TOP 3 at C3S3: FNCS - Grand Finals: North America East, FNCS: Season X - Week 3: North America East, C3S2: FNCS - Grand Finals: North America East and C2S4: FNCS - Grand Finals: NA East.
Now the North American organization will remain in Halo, Apex Legends and VALORANT. Probably, the club will not leave them anytime soon, as it has great potential everywhere and claims trophies.
