JLINGZ Esports Teams Up with Virtua Platform
British esports organization JLINGZ Esports, founded by professional footballer Jesse Lingard, has announced a partnership with the Virtua platform to create its own metaverse. The club will reportedly use the platform for its esports operations, digital item collectibles, access to exclusives, virtual events, and even potential new game development.
Jesse Lingard, founder of JLINGZ Esports: "I'm always looking for interesting and exciting ways to connect with fans who are passionate about football, fashion and esports - that's what the JLINGZ Esports brand is all about. Virtua is the perfect partner to explore the possibilities of the metaverse and meet fans in this exciting new space."
The partnership between JLINGZ Esports and Virtua will headline a sports zone on the Virtua platform where fans can support esports teams in the metaverse. The sports zone will also include partnerships with other celebrities and brands, creating additional opportunities for merchandising and digital collectibles. To celebrate the partnership, Virtua will be giving away "Jesse Lingard VFLECT" digital collectible avatars to the first 1,000 subscribers.
Javad Ashraf, CEO and Co-Founder of Virtua: "Jesse is a Web3 enthusiast, global sports personality and owner of a vibrant esports team - his brand surpasses a wide variety of fans. His profile is perfect for the Web3 audience, he is a natural fit for the Virtua metaverse, and we're excited work with him to bring the esports brand JLINGZ Esports into the space."
Note that other partners of the Virtua project include Williams Racing, Legendary Entertainment, Hero ISL, Shelby American and Kevin Hart. In turn, recently the British organization JLINGZ Esports entered into a partnership with the video platform Recast
