Football club "Inter" becomes a partner of Mkers
Italian football club Inter has announced a partnership agreement with local esports organization Mkers to expand its presence in esports. With this deal, the club is reportedly looking to further develop its esports ambitions and will use Mkers to improve its esports segment going forward.
Alessandro Antonello, CEO of Inter Milan: "Cooperation with a leading gaming organization such as Mkers allows our club to further develop an esports project that is of great strategic importance to Inter in terms of continuing to innovate and communicate with younger generations on around the world."
The new Inter Esports team roster will make its debut on Sunday, November 27 on the main stage of the Esports Arena, as part of the Milan Games Week & Cartoomics, during an event organized by KONAMI. Note that Inter is a partner of KONAMI, so the team is officially represented in the eFootball series.
Paolo Cisaria, Managing Director of Mkers: "This is a massive collaboration for Mkers and is a clear signal of our growth so far. This is another chance for us to expand our presence abroad. We will work hard to show that we are worthy of the trust placed in us ".
The football club first entered esports in 2020 through a partnership with another Italian organization, QLASH. Subsequently, the club represented the squads for FIFA 21 and FIFA 22.
Currently, the Mkers organization has a small but quite prestigious list of partners. In particular, the club cooperates with fashion brands Dolce & Gabbana, Armani and Gilette. It is noteworthy that one of the Mkers investors is Daniele De Rossi, a former Roma midfielder and the Italian national football team.
