DRX partners with Wemade
South Korean esports organization DRX has announced a partnership with Web3 game developer Wemade. The deal will reportedly focus on exploring new markets and opportunities to diversify the club's business.
Sang-Ying Choi, CEO of DRX: "We look forward to growing together based on the accumulated data and global networks built by both Wemade and DRX."
DRX is currently represented in League of Legends, VALORANT, Warcraft 3 and Tekken 7. The League of Legends roster recently won the World Championships 2022. Wemade becomes the next partner of the organization, which also cooperates with Shinhan Bank, Red Bull, Logitech G and HyperX.
Henry Chang, CEO of Wemade : “Esports is the best sport for blockchain because it continues to evolve. We will create a new digital economy in sports with DRX, the leader in esports.”
Interestingly, apart from the announcement of the partnership itself, the parties did not disclose details as to what would be included in the cooperation. Also, the companies did not disclose future activations, which, apparently, will be announced later.
Wemade is a South Korean game development company specializing in Web3 and Metaverse projects. The company recently received support from software giant Microsoft for its advancement in the industry, and is behind the WEMIX token. Wemade continues to partner with various local and international companies and projects to expand the ecosystem.
