Riot Games announces partnership with Knights Arena
Riot Games has partnered with North American tournament operator Knights Arena to host VALORANT Champions Tour Challengers and Game Changers in North America in 2023. As part of the partnership, the eSports arm of the organization, Knights Arena, has become the official tournament host for the VCT Challenger and VCT Game Changers in North America.
Bear Jamison, Head of VCT Americas : "Knights have proven their ability to deliver successful tournaments that embody the goals of VALORANT and they bring years of experience and passion to this new partnership. We are thrilled to be working closely with the Knights team on Challengers and Game Changers and I'm confident that together we will create something that fans will love."
It is noteworthy that in order to prevent a conflict of interest, the Knights organization will not be represented by teams in the discipline next season. At the same time, the esports organization will be able to sell sponsorship for the broadcasts of their VALORANT tournaments.
James O'Connor, Pittsburgh Knights President : "Over the past two years, we've hosted dozens of events to support the VALORANT community and the TIER-2 scene. Riot Games' selection of this opportunity is a reflection of the effort and passion our organization has put into hosting these events and help grow the scene. We are very grateful for this partnership and look forward to creating amazing content for VALORANT fans."
The collaboration between Knights Arena and Riot Games within the framework of VCT Challengers starts on December 5 with open qualifiers.
