AMD Becomes a Sponsor of the Victory Five League of Legends Roster
AMD's Ryzen processor lineup has been announced as the new sponsor for the Victory Five League of Legends roster. As part of the deal, the company will promote its processor line through social media activities and direct support for the Victory Five roster in China.
We are thrilled to be named the Official Sponsor of the Victory Five Esports Club to help their team achieve their dreams.
As a result, the AMD Ryzen logo will appear on the shirts of the Victory Five team. In addition, the parties will also provide fans with co-branded merchandise and other opportunities to interact with the team. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded by Macau businessman Mario Ho, Victory Five joined the League of Legends Pro League in 2018 as a young team. In 2020, Huo and Sun Liwei (CEO of the eStar.Pro team) merged the two esports companies into a Wuhan-based joint venture, Estar Victory Five, with Huo acting as chairman and Liwei as CEO. Although the two teams have the same sponsor in BYD Auto, representatives from the Victory Five have confirmed that the new deal will not include eStar.Pro.
While ESV5 is headquartered in Wuhan, Victory Five's home base is in Shenzhen. Victory Five performed well in 2022, taking third place in the LPL Spring 2022. This may be the reason why AMD decided to sponsor the roster. In addition to the League of Legends team, AMD also sponsored the Chinese Dota Pro Circuit with local distributor Perfect World.
