WePlay Esports, the flagship company ofWePlay Holding, has started cooperation withSport.plandUkrayina.pl, popular thematic websites of Gazeta.pl, one of thelargest web portals in Poland. The partnership will begin with the Ukrainian-language broadcast of theBLAST Premier 2022 Spring Final tournament fromWePlay Esports.Sport.plandUkrayina.plwill become communication platforms for all esports enthusiasts interested inBLAST events andWePlay content.
Like all areas of life around the world, eSports has also been affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. And one of the most significant areas for the development of the industry is the active generation of Ukrainian-language content. WePlay Esports, the Ukrainian operator of esports tournaments, is doing everything to be at the forefront of this process, including joining forces with like-minded companies.
The Polish partners have already given great support to Ukraine and its people. So, the WePlay Esports x Sport.pl x Ukrayina.pl partnership agreement concerns not only esports, but also the overall development of the two countries. Since Poland has accepted the most temporarily displaced Ukrainians, enabling them to consume Ukrainian-language esports content is a logical and desirable next step.
Alena Dalskaya-Latoshevich — PR and Communications Director of WePlay Holding
We at WePlay Holding have always had the goal of making esports a mainstream phenomenon around the world. And to achieve this goal, we certainly need the support of the community and partners around the world.
Since the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Polish partners have been providing tremendous support to all of us in Ukraine and hosting millions of our compatriots in their country. Thus, cooperation with Polish media brands is a very warm partnership, which we will be happy to expand in the future, even after the Ukrainian-language broadcast of BLAST 2022 Spring Final.
We believe that by joining forces, we can achieve much greater heights. Therefore, together with our partners Sport.pl and Ukrayina.pl, we will do our best to ensure that Ukrainian content gets the attention it deserves.
Patrick Stets - Head of Esports at Sport.pl
We are very pleased to partner with such a well-known brand of the European esports scene. WePlay has hosted many high-quality streams, and we have no doubt that this time will be the same. This will certainly be a good start to a long partnership.
The official broadcast of the spring finals of BLAST Premier 2022 (June 15-19, 2022) will be available on the official WePlay Esports Twitch channel.
