Heineken becomes sponsor of Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends
Riot Games has announced a sponsorship agreement with the international brand Heineken. The deal will see the brewery become an official sponsor of the Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends. Heineken will reportedly be promoting its "Heineken 0.0" non-alcoholic beer brand on CBLOL broadcasts over the next two years.
Note that this is the first integration of Heineken into the League of Legends discipline. It is also the first beer brand to be featured in a Riot Games brainchild on Brazilian soil.
The beer brand has also acquired the naming rights to a trophy awarded to the best player chosen by the audience (Craque da Galera), which will be presented at a ceremony at the end of the year.
The choice of "Heineken 0.0" as a sponsor is in line with the message that Heineken aims to convey to the Brazilian audience. It is reported that Heineken is intended "for players who appreciate quality beer, but do not want to give up high competitive performance."
Riot Games recently attracted another new sponsor for the Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends, with Santander Bank in April signing a five-year deal with the publisher.
Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends Split 2 2022 starts tomorrow, June 11th. Flamengo Esports, FURIA Esports, INTZ, KaBuM will take part in the championship! e-Sports, Liberty, LOUD, Miners.gg, paiN Gaming, RED Canids and Rensga eSports.
