Astralis ends partnership with Roobet

Danish esports organization Astralis has announced the end of its partnership with online casino Roobet. Recall that the parties entered into a deal on Thursday, May 5. However, the Danish club has come under fire for cooperating with an illegal project.

The day before, both organizations announced a two-year deal. The partnership included the placement of the Roobet logo on the jersey of the CS:GO and digital platforms roster.

Anders Hersholt, CEO of Astralis: "Today we informed Roobet that we want to immediately terminate the contract we signed on Thursday. In this case, we did not do enough due diligence on local legal issues, and when you make a mistake, you must correct it. This what we are doing now.Not without reason, Astralis is an icon of Danish and international esports, and we must always be aware of our responsibility. Our actions can never be in any doubt, but in this case we did not meet our own standards, which we We are sorry to all parties involved."

It is unclear whether the Danish team will perform in the upcoming Roobet Cup. However, the participation of Astralis in the championship should not be a problem for fans, as many well-known teams are listed among the other participants in the event, including FaZe Clan and Cloud9.

As part of the event, scheduled from 22 to 30 June, 16 teams will take part. The prize fund of the championship will be $250,000, of which $150,000 will immediately go to the winner of the competition.
