Dota 2 got a new patch
PatchesIn a new patch, Valve added the Winter's Refuge event and a new lasso for Rubick to the game.
In the added game mode, players will need to defend the ancient tree from waves of various opponents. For each level of the Battle Pass, users will receive special rewards, which will be activated tools for the Winter's Haven mode. They can also be used in regular matches. Dota Plus members will be able to purchase a consumable pack for 1500 shards.
Another difference between Dota Plus subscribers and regular players is that for every five Battle Pass levels, subscription owners will receive two random items instead of one. Valve plans to conclude Winter's Haven on January 3rd.
Later, the Dota 2 developers released another patch, which improved the artificial intelligence in the new mode, and also updated the armor, damage and health characteristics of creeps in the last round of Winter's Haven.
Update for Winter's Haven
- Fixed Troll Warlord ultimate working
- Increased the total number of creeps spawning in the last round
- Rubick's telekinesis damage increased from 700 to 1600. Damage type changed from physical to pure
- Ogre Seals last round damage increased from 300-400 to 450-500
- Final round creep armor increased from 6 to 7
- Final round creep damage reduced from 450-500 to 400-450
- Final round creep hitpoints reduced from 2200 to 2000
- Time Lapse and Enchant Totem Blacklisted Abilities for Final Boss Rubick
- Improved Ogre Seal Artificial Intelligence
- Fixed AI issues of the final boss Rubick
- Rubick's staff and cloak are now pre-cached before loading the game
The magus cypher
A new cosmetic item has been added to the game on Rubick, which equips in a cloak slot and stains stolen abilities green and changes some animations. An interesting feature of this thing is that the arcana counts the player's victories on Rubick and after each triumph gives the owner access to new animations. For example, after the first victory, Rubick will be equipped with the new Laguna Blade, Wrath of Nature and Hand of God effects. Some skills, such as Chronosphere, will only be available after 40 victories. Also, after winning 40 games on Rubick, the player will be able to unlock a special effect under the feet of this hero.
Like all other arcana, The Magus Cypher gives a redesigned hero portrait and updated ability icons. Along with this, Valve also released new voiceovers for Rubick. Only the owners of the arcana for this hero will be able to appreciate it.
