On his Telegram channel, Ukrainian cybersportsman Andriy 'Ghostik' Kadyk said what we think about continuing our career. In the near future, he plans to just stream on Twitch and start creating content for the YouTube channel. Regarding the career of a professional player in Dota 2, he sees two paths:

  • changing your position and looking for a new team
  • transition to the role of a coach and search for a new team

Andrei Kadyk said that he was not in his best psychological shape, referring to his personal circumstances. He spoke very positively about leaving Team Unique:

I decided to restore the Telegram channel, given that there is time now to write my thoughts. First of all, I have no grudge against the organization of Tim Unique and we parted on a very good note, it was a pleasure to work with them. At this moment in time I am in, to put it mildly, a bad mental state for personal reasons, which I am trying to cope with, but it takes time.

Ghostik connects the uncertainty of the future of his career with the fact that Valve moved The International from August to October:

As for my future in Dota, I can't give a specific answer right now, given that the INT has been postponed and I am thinking about different options, ranging from changing positions up to the coach, given that the role of a coach has always been very interesting to me.

I also plan to do a lot of streaming and YouTube now, so feel free to subscribe to my channels. I would also like to thank all the people who continue to support me, for me it is very valuable and I will try not to let you down.

Ghostik ended its partnership with Team Unique on July 19. He has been on the team since January 17 this year. Most likely, this decision by the management was made after an unsuccessful attempt to qualify for The International 10. Andrey Kadyk's place was taken by Vladislav 'Petushara' Kozlovsky, who previously played under the Team Empire tag. Ghostik, by the way, previously also took part in matches, representing the colors of Empire and, together with the latter, even took 7th-8th place at The International 2017, receiving a prize of $ 617,198.
