COO NAVI: "The goal is to build some good team that can represent our region from the CIS"
A video was recently released on the Natus Vincere YouTube channel explaining why the NAVI management decided to put all the current players on the bench. According to the statements of Alexey 'xaoc' Kucherov, the operational director of the esports organization Natus Vincere, only players from the CIS are going to sign. as this is the ideology of the Ukrainian eSports club. NAVI wants the organization's players to represent their region at the international level and all CIS fans can be happy for their fellow countrymen:
There are indeed other teams that can be signed, but we are not looking in this direction yet. We would like to build something in the CIS. Again, I do not rule out anything in Dota, because what is happening[in the CIS], we, of course, also do not like it. We will see how to solve this problem, but so far we do not want to leave the CIS.
At the moment, the date on which Natus Vincere will be able to share their plans for the future is unknown:
It is difficult to say any specific deadlines yet. Again, we look at completely different options and choose the best one.
In addition, Alexey told why NAVI will not sign a roster that has already been formed and is playing well:
In principle, there are lineups that have passed to The International - they could be signed and presented at the tournament. But that is not the goal. The goal is to build some good team that can represent our region from the CIS, win some cool results and show a cool game.
Kucherov said that NAVI does not plan to leave the MOBA discipline from Valve, since it is truly a part of the history of the esports organization:
The legacy[NAVI]is really pretty big. We still have a lot of audience in the CIS who loves Dota. I would like to make a good team that will be able to show great results on the international stage. We're just looking for an approach. It may seem that this has already been a little delayed, but in general we have a very large experience working with other lineups. <...> Now we will see how this can be reformatted and made better
Earlier it was reported that Natus Vincere had transferred all players of the roster to inactive. They still have a contract with the Ukrainian esports organization, but they will sit on the bench for some time. Taking into account the actions of the club's management and similar statements, it can be assumed that NAVI is already in search of new players who will represent the organization at the international level.
