Guilty or not? - ESIC will investigate MagicaL case
Recently, ex-NAVI player Idan 'MagicaL' Vardanyan got involved in a scandal with fake matches. On February 21, he was expelled from the XactJIepbl team on suspicion of deliberately worsening the results of his team and betting against it.
Everything was at the level of rumors, but now the team manager Alexander 'tony' Vyhovsky commented on the situation. He said that the player's guilt has not been proven and the team asked for help in the investigation of the case to the Integrity Commission in eSports (ESIC). He also asked the gaming community not to jump to conclusions until the circumstances are fully known.
Victim Idan 'Magical' Vardanyan, in turn, previously denied rumors about the reason for his departure from the team. He said that he did not make bets against XactJIepbl, and explained the extremely unsuccessful performance by a lack of training and motivation. In addition, he revealed that there were unresolved disagreements between the team members, and rumors could come directly from the members of XactJIepbl.
Alexander Vygovsky said the following:
“I would like to ask our community not to make hasty conclusions, as this is really a very serious matter. Yes, after the game against Imperial Pro Gaming at the DPC, some of the team's players had doubts about the result. We were confident that we should have finished that match in In no case, I do not want to diminish the merits of our opponent in any way, but only try to convey the emotions of the players. It is clear that feelings and emotions are not enough, therefore, after the game, replays of the game of interest were sorted out. This opinion. Our team turned to the tournament operator, who submitted the case file to ESIC. At the moment, an investigation is underway regarding this situation. In no case, I, on behalf of the XactJlepbI team, do not consider Idan guilty and do not want to harm the gaming reputation in this way. We just want an honest and fair decision of the authority, which should dot the i's. Our team speaks t only for fair play according to the existing rules, as well as against any illegal actions. "
