More update coming to Dota 2 in December
Today, the Dota 2 developers represented by Valve have released an appeal on their blog. In it, the company shared its immediate plans for the development of the game.
The new Dota Plus season kicks off in December. As before, players will enjoy new seasonal quests, cosmetic items, and other subscription attributes. Also, along with this, the Overwatch system will be introduced into the game, an analogue of the patrol in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Responsible players will now be able to help catch community rule violators.
The appearance of a new heroine is delayed. According to Valve, it was supposed to appear in the game on November 30, but it took a little longer to "get ready for winter." The new release date for the heroine is mid-December. Patch 7.28 will be released in the same period.
Finally, Valve shed some light on the future of the competitive Dota 2 scene. The next DPC season will be in league format, with 16 teams in each region split into 2 divisions. The best team in the region will make it to the first Major tournament, information about which will appear soon.
