The esports portal CQ announced that Valve, together with ESL, are preparing to hold a Dota 2 tournament. CQ cited their sources and did not provide any details.
Such information may well be true. Valve has previously been heavily criticized by the community. Basically, the company was accused of not taking part in the development of the competitive scene and not supporting third-party tournament operators.
If such a tournament takes place, it will take place after OGA Dota PIT Season 3, which ends on September 26. Let us remind you that earlier rumors appeared on the network that WePlay! wants to host more than 10 championships with a total prize pool of over $ 10 million.
